The Pilates Standard (TPS) is an international Pilates teacher training school dedicated to preserving and teaching the authentic Classical Pilates Method.
Our mission is to educate highly skilled Pilates instructors while honoring the groundbreaking work of Joseph Pilates, his protégé Romana Kryzanowska, and the legacy of renowned teacher Bob Liekens.
We believe in the power and effectiveness of the original Pilates system. Through historical study, hands-on practice, and comprehensive teacher training, we prepare apprentices to teach according to the highest classical Pilates standards.
TPS students gain a deep understanding of the complete Pilates method, including both its physical and mental principles. Training includes the full range of Pilates apparatus based on Joseph Pilates’ original designs, enabling teachers to confidently work with clients at every level.
Our curriculum is built on three integrated systems with clear progressions and pathways for professional development.

The Pilates Standard – Our Heritage
The Pilates Standard (TPS) was founded in 2012 with renowned Pilates educator Bob Liekens as co-owner and educational coordinator.
A direct student of Romana Kryzanowska and a respected teacher with more than 30 years of experience, Bob was dedicated to preserving the authentic work of Joseph Pilates while ensuring its teachings could be passed on to future generations.
Drawing on his extensive experience in Pilates education, Bob helped shape the foundation of TPS and developed the framework that later inspired our Πρόγραμμα Προώθησης της Εκπαίδευσης στη Μάθηση (LEAP).
LEAP was created with a clear purpose: to preserve and share the depth, precision, and integrity of the Classical Pilates Method, empowering a new generation of highly skilled Pilates teachers around the world.
The Foundation of the Programs
The foundation of becoming a great Pilates teacher begins with understanding the Method in your own body. Through consistent practice and study, you will develop a deep connection to the exercises, their purpose, and their transformative effects.
From there comes the art of teaching — learning how to share your experience, knowledge, and understanding with others. As you progress through the program, you will develop the skills to observe, guide, and inspire clients while remaining true to the principles of the Classical Pilates Method.
At TPS, we believe that exceptional teaching is built on personal experience, technical mastery, and the ability to communicate the Method with confidence, clarity, and authenticity.
Matwork
Ένα πρόγραμμα 4 εβδομάδων, 2 ημερών
This 4-week Matwork Teacher Training Program offers a comprehensive introduction to the Classical Pilates Method.
Through the study of Intro, Ideal, Anatomy & Orthopedic Fundamentals, and Challenge Level, students develop a strong foundation in both theory and practice.
The program concludes with a final examination, ensuring graduates have the knowledge and skills required to begin their journey as Pilates teachers.
Comprehensive
Our Comprehensive Teacher Training Program is an intensive 6-week course designed to provide a complete education in the Classical Pilates Method.
Students learn the full Pilates repertoire and all classical apparatus while progressing through every level of the system, from First Timer/Intro to Επίπεδο πρόκλησης. The program also includes Ανατομία και Ορθοπεδικά Θεμέλια, creating a strong foundation for effective and confident teaching.
The training includes 400–600 apprenticeship hours, three checkups, and a final examination.
LEAP - Learning Education Advancement Program
Designed for experienced Pilates teachers, LEAP offers an opportunity to refine your teaching, deepen your knowledge, and further explore the depth of the Classical Pilates Method.
The program includes two intensive 5-day in-person modules and a final online integration day. Participants receive a Certificate of Completion upon finishing the program.

- 100-150 ώρες μαθητευόμενου περιλαμβάνονται στην αμοιβή (στις ώρες μαθητευόμενου περιλαμβάνονται οι ώρες διδασκαλίας του Σαββατοκύριακου, 56 ώρες) Οι ώρες μαθητευόμενου περιλαμβάνουν αυτοπρακτική εξάσκηση, παρατήρηση και διδασκαλία.

- Ειδικές συνθήκες μάθετε πώς να δομείτε μια συνεδρία για πελάτες με τραυματισμούς, πόνο στη μέση, εγκυμοσύνη, κ.λπ.
- 450-600 ώρες μαθητευόμενου περιλαμβάνεται στην αμοιβή. Οι ώρες μαθητευόμενου περιλαμβάνουν πρακτική εξάσκηση, παρατήρηση και διδασκαλία.
